• All the ESN events boil down to talking circles in the end.
  • Learned spikeball! Innovation in sports is good and desireable :) Was really fun.
  • Have a lot of social management thoughts and they annoy me because I cannot relax well and I just generally have a hard time deciding how much to optimise social stuff.
  • There’s generally a tradeoff between staying with fewer people for longer versus meeting more, am thinking staying with fewer for longer is better.
  • Interesting how staying with one group a little longer can lead to you meeting 5 new people at once, just because I walked over to them instead of going home, etc.
• US/Austria/Canada people are much more open, loud and generally very charismatic at the ESN events. It’s like a step change difference, very interesting (and jelaous) to see in practice.
• I’m just a small fish in the metaphorical sea (and Croatian faculties are). SO many people have cool internships, they randomly work on rockets, startups, watchmakng, etc. The bar to stand out has been thoroughly lifted. Becoming an academic weapon?
  • Even in the pub, the people dance more and it’s harder to stand out, etc.
